On entering the temple through the east tower the big structure one faces on the right is the thousand pillared hall. There are indications that it was built by Krishnadevaraya. The thousand pillared hall sports exactly 1000 pillars. the pillars are carved , with sculptures of Naik periods and some divine images. Sages, Vishnu\\\\\\\'s incarations too find a place with floral designs. The prime God Lord Ganesha also resides near the Sivaganga Theertha (tank) in the name of \\\\\\\"Siddhi Vinayaga\\\\\\\" and also called \\\\\\\"Sivagangai Vinayagar\\\\\\\". Arunachala is a sthala is as old as human civilization shines with its own glory, that burns the ego afflicting human beings.

Sripuram Vellore Golden Temple is a spiritual park at the foot of a small range of green hills at a place called Malaikodi in the city of Vellore in Tamil Nadu, India. An important feature is Sripuram Lakshmi Narayani temple or Mahalakshmi temple whose Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam is overlaid with gold inside the temple and exterior.The 20 hectares and was constructed by Vellore-based Sri Narayani peedam led by spiritual leader Sri Shakti Amma, also known as Amma Narayani Temple, which is 55 000 square meters is a set of prints and sculptures in gold. The lighting is arranged so that the temple glitters even at night. The Sripuram is the largest structure of gold. Sripuram-Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple is the largest Golden temple in the world, with over 1.5 tonnes of gold used. All the gold work was done by artisans specializing in temple art using gold. Every single detail was manually created, including converting the gold chunks into gold foils and then mounting on the gold foils on copper. Gold foil from 9 layers to 15 layers has been mounted on the scratched copper plates. Every single detail in the temple art has significance from the vedas. Sripuram temple design represents a star-shaped path, positioned in the middle of the lushgreen landscape, with a length of over 1.8 km. One has to walk along the star path to reach the temple in the middle, which is laid by messages from Sri Sakthi Amma and from different faiths and spirituals leaders.

The temple absorbs maximum energy from nature, which creates peace and brings rest to the devotees who walk through the starpath. Devotees walking through the starpath are blessed to read messages of truth and morality that enables them to realize themselves and transform into powerful beings. Jalakandeswarar Temple

\"\\"\\\\"Jalakandeswarar\\"\" The structures in the court yard on the outer prakara include the lofty Gopuram on the southern side which is the entry to the temple. One the South-West corner of outer court yard is the Kalyanamantapa which is the gem of architecture of Late Vijayanagar style in embellishments and the art motifs of its pillars, ceilings and plinth moldings. It stands as testimony for the architectural workmanship of that period.Jalakanteswarar or \\\\\\\"Siva residing in the water\\\\\\\" temple entrance is topped with a fine gopuram with massive wooden gates and studded with bosses of iron like lotus flowers. The best sculpture is found on the left side of the entrance, a porch which contains monolithic pillars of grandeur and delicacy of execution. The temple is adorned with some remarkable sculptures. The temple is built at the centre of a tank. There is a beautiful water fencing (Agazhi)around the temple appearing as a garland. The circumference of this Agazhi is 8000 feet. The sculpture in the wedding hall of the temple has two faces in a single body, an elephant and the bull.

Water for the abishek of the Lord is drawn from well which is very old. This is the Ganga Gouri holy theertham. The well has a natural spring in itself and not dug. A torch called Navasakthi Jyothi is in front of the Goddess – Amman shrine. It never extinguishes and round in shape. The main flame (jyothi) is at the centre and eight around it. A great lamp above the jyothi has a diameter of 27 inches representing the 27 stars starting from Ashwini to Revathi. This is called Star Deepa - Nakshatra Deepa.

There was an ant-hill (a sand mount made by white ants having many holes housing snakes inside called Pampu puttru in Tamil) in the place where the sanctum sanctorum of Jalakandeswarar exists now. Rain waters in the lower levels of the anthill made a tank there. There was also a Shivalinga under the water of the tank. Lord Shiva appeared in the dream of a chieftain Bommi Reddy who was ruling the region and asked him to build a temple there. The king went to the tank, demolished the ant-hill and took out the Shivalinga and installed the Lord in the water itself. As the Lord was installed in a place surrounded by Jalam (Water), He is named Jalakhandeswarar.
